How do I clean and sanitize my hot and cold water dispenser?

To clean and sanitize your hot and cold water dispenser, follow these steps:
Unplug the dispenser: Before starting the cleaning process, make sure to unplug the dispenser from the power source to ensure safety.
Empty and drain the water reservoirs: Remove the water bottle or disconnect the water supply if your dispenser is directly connected to a water source. Drain the hot and cold water reservoirs completely.
Prepare a cleaning solution: Mix a solution of warm water and mild dish soap or a vinegar-water solution. Alternatively, you can also use a commercial water dispenser cleaner following the manufacturer's instructions.
Clean the exterior: Use a clean cloth or sponge dipped in the cleaning solution to wipe down the exterior surfaces of the dispenser, including the faucets and buttons. Pay attention to any areas with stains or dirt buildup.

Clean the water faucets: Remove the faucets, if possible, and soak them in the cleaning solution for a few minutes. Scrub them gently with a soft brush to remove any residue or mineral deposits. Rinse the faucets thoroughly with clean water.
Clean the water reservoirs: Fill the reservoirs with the cleaning solution and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes to loosen any deposits or buildup. Then, use a soft brush or sponge to scrub the inside surfaces of the reservoirs. Pay attention to any corners or hard-to-reach areas. Empty the solution from the reservoirs.
Rinse thoroughly: Fill the reservoirs with clean water and drain them completely to rinse away any remaining cleaning solution or residue. Repeat the rinsing process a couple of times to ensure thorough cleaning.
Sanitize the reservoirs: To sanitize the reservoirs, prepare a mixture of 1 teaspoon of bleach with 1 gallon of water. Fill the reservoirs with the sanitizing solution and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, drain the solution and rinse the reservoirs with clean water.
Reassemble and refill: Once the reservoirs are thoroughly rinsed and sanitized, reassemble any removed parts, such as the faucets. Plug the dispenser back into the power source and refill the water bottles or reconnect the water supply.
Run water through the dispenser: Dispense a few cups of water from both the hot and cold faucets to flush out any remaining cleaning or sanitizing solution.
It's important to consult the user manual or manufacturer's instructions for specific cleaning recommendations for your water dispenser, as different models may have unique requirements.
